Exterior Design: Spanish Contemporary Home
From the moment we stepped foot onto this Wayne, Illinois property, the vision was undeniable. Before plans were even drawn, the transformation could already be felt. The home’s placement on the lot, where sunlight filtered softly through winter trees and danced across the snow, set the tone for what would become a Spanish Contemporary design masterpiece.
Inside, the structure revealed itself as the perfect canvas for the Modern Spanish aesthetic that I had imagined in my mind for years; arched entryways, crisp white walls, rich medium-tone woods, and expansive windows designed to blur the line between indoors and out. While ongoing supply-chain challenges, during COVID, required thoughtful pivots during the renovation, the design integrity remained uncompromised, resulting in a home that feels both elevated and effortlessly livable.
Originally a 1940 farmhouse, this residence was reimagined into a Modern Spanish sanctuary that honors its equestrian-town roots while embracing contemporary interior design principles. The final result is a space that radiates warmth, serenity, and quiet sophistication.
A Warm Welcome, Inside and Out
The exterior of this Spanish Modern Home now greets you with an arched doorway and tall planters that set a welcoming tone and frame the architecture beautifully.
